Consider this you have a business and you don’t want drifters or solicitors to bother you but you also can’t make it difficult for your clients to get in. So a lot of offices decide to lock the door or add a remote buzzer to open the door when they see someone.
Buzzing someone in without asking them what they need help with just made the buzzer useless. Ok so another option is to have someone go to the door and ask how they can help but that again defeated the purpose of the buzzer because now your in a dangerous situation if the person has bad intentions and you can’t call for help if you need to.
Most of these scenarios can be avoided with the proper access control system.
All access control systems should also incorporate a video or audio intercom so that you can communicate with the person trying to gain access to the facility without having to go to the door. Also if the facility has an outdoor gate you should consider installing a video intercom at the gate along with access control so that the facility has different levels of security and restricted access before an individual makes it to the main building .
Safecam has been designing and installing access control systems for over 15 years and we would love to visit your facility for an access control evaluation and site survey . Don’t let the safety of your business or your employees be compromised because of lack of security.
Pictured above is an outdoor 700 LBS electronic magnetic outdoor lock along with a proximity card / keypad reader and an HD video intercom system with remote door release. This system enables the client to stop strangers from entering the facility property from the gate not the main door. Giving them more time to react to a possible dangerous situation.
